The Andaman and Nicobar Islands, located in the Bay of Bengal (east of the Indian mainland geographically), is a splendid tropical island outpost, belonging to India. From being known as “Kalapani” (Black waters) due to the atrocious history of the British Regime in India, to being known as one of the best tourist destinations of India, Andaman Islands have come a long way.

But, if you want to make the most of your holiday and enjoy the best of what the island has to offer, we suggest going between October and May. Avoid going during the monsoon, the strong winds and high tides make it impossible to enjoy and explore the outdoors in Andaman.
Flight: Getting to the Andaman Islands by flight is the quickest way of reaching. Flights take off and land at the local Veer Savarkar International Airport. You have direct daily flights to Port Blair from Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore. And some flights from Visakhapatnam on certain days.
Ship: Another way of getting to the Andaman Islands is by ship. Ships ply from Vizag, Chennai and Kolkata to the Andaman islands. Unlike with a flight, it takes a long time to reach Andaman by ship, especially if you are boarding from Kolkata.
